Most of our customers opt for the 8 or 12-person sets, and with a coupon, it works out to about $77 per 4-person set. No, we’re not the cheapest. There are $50 sets out there, but with those, you’re giving up important qualities. These skimp on thickness and weight (don’t be fooled by the top view), use cheaper materials, and sometimes aren't non-toxic. They often come in flimsy plastic packaging that can lead to scratched pieces upon delivery and isn’t ideal for gifting. In the long run, you end up replacing them more often, costing more.
On the other hand, there are sets over $200. While these may offer weighted handles, they still don't offer the titanium-alloy plating we use—the strongest coating available, developed through our research and development.
We could've launched a cheaper version too, with thinner handles, using 18/0 stainless steel instead of 18/10, using entry level plating instead of the strongest titanium-alloy plating, and with lower-grade packaging. But compromising on quality just isn’t who we are. We want you to have flatware that looks and feels great, holds up over time, and offers real value—without cutting corners.
But instead of compromising quality, we launched the Ava Essential Set, which offers just the core pieces (dinner spoons, forks, and knives) without the salad forks and dessert spoons. It’s a great way to start at a lower price point—without sacrificing quality. You can always add more pieces when you’re ready!
Flatware is something you use every day and put directly in your mouth. Like your home or the furniture you invest in, quality matters. We believe that what you use daily should feel substantial, look beautiful, and be worth every penny.
